The king wedded off his son
To the neighbouring king’s daughter
The princess arrived in her new home
Veiled behind a beautiful mask.

Every time the prince begged for a look
She refused saying her hideous face
Will make her lose his love, but her golden
heart and soul soon won his purest love.

The entire kingdom knew the story
The king arranged his second marriage
With a beautiful princess this time tested,
But to his great shock the prince refused.

Humbly he said he loved his wife
His body, heart, soul belonged to her
When he reached his chambers that night
He saw his beloved’s mask lying on floor.

On the bed was sitting, waiting for him
The most beautiful woman one can see,
He stopped in his track as she came to him,
Softly whispered to him, beauty lies in soul!
