Of dreams and reality
Looking for lasting happiness and peace
I reached my Guru’s door
I sat down at his feet and waited
For the words of wisdom from him.
He smiled with deepest love and tenderness
He guided me to a nearby playground
Two girls were playing there
One a beautiful cherub, the other a hideous gnome.
The ugly urchin was in velvets, the fairy was in rags,
They both doted on each other
Laughing and crying together
Relishing the world with each other.
My teacher asked me to be like them
To cherish love, company of beloved
To not judge others by wealth, looks, attire
To be nonjudgmental and loving.
