Chanakya Neeti 6: Snake is better than a wicked man, snake bites only when it is provoked, wicked man hurts whenever he can.
I absolutely agree with him, though we human beings have an instinctive fear towards this slithering creature but I think the only creature that harms without/due to least provocation is human, not snake. Maybe, fire ants… they too have a human like nature, they first crawl into your personal bubble aka body and then bite! Even if they are
threatened, what the heck were they doing in your personal bubble? Eh? Did you invited them? Come crawl all over my body and bite! I don’t think so! So only these two creatures bite (!) without or without much provocation.
Chanakya was the mentor, guide and prime minister of Emperor Chandragupta Maurya. His words were very wise when it came to explaining human nature and ways of actual world.
